How it all started…
I took my childhood passion and turned it into a business
Hello, I’m Larry Giles, the owner of Dirigo Aquascapes. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with water. As a child, I created my own aqua scapes by damming up the streams near our home. Those hours spent in the sun, and the joy of turning a trickling stream into a small swimming hole stuck with me throughout my life.
I gained my experience in building large-scale water features through another company in recent years which further fueled my passion for the aquascaping lifestyle. I’m also the owner of a property management company in Nicaragua, actively managing several pools. My passion got the best of me, so I attended the Aquascape Academy to become a Certified Aquascape Contractor and reseller of their water feature products. My work ethic coupled with my passion has resulted in Dirigo Aquascapes - Maine’s first certified Aquascape installation company in Maine.
di·ri·go: “I direct” — the motto of Maine referring by analogy to the North Star appearing on the state seal.
Starting your water feature project is easy.
Take the first step toward the outdoor living space of your dreams by scheduling an initial consultation call.
Step 1:
Free consultation call
We’ll talk about your vision for your water feature, and get a rough idea of what’s possible. Having some photos of the area where you would like the feature to be located will help make our conversation more effective.
Please email a few photos to me at: larry@dirigoaquascapes.com.
Step 2:
Onsite design planning
If you’ve decided that you’d like to move forward after our call, the next step is to meet in person, clarify your options, define a construction schedule, and deliver a contract. This design planning meeting costs $399, which is credited to your project once you’ve signed our contract.
Step 3:
Water feature installation
This is where the fun begins! To start your project, we’ll need a deposit. We’ll add your project to our build schedule, so you’ll know when to expect our equipment arriving. I actively work on every installation, so you’ll have many opportunities to get real-time status updates as the build is happening.
